1. Nawong- the front part of a person’s head from the forehead to the chin, or the corresponding part in an animal.
- Example: Kagwapa sang imo nawong.
- Translation: Your face is beautiful.
2. Yahong- a round, deep dish or basin used for food or liquid.
- Example: Dal a di sakon ang yahong.
- Translation: Give me the bowl.

3. Kurason- a hollow muscular organ that pumps the blood through the circulatory system by rhythmic contraction and dilation. In vertebrates there may be up to four chambers (as in humans), with two atria and two ventricles.
- Example: Gadasig ang pagkudog kudog sang akon kurason kada makita taka.
- Translation: My heart beats faster everytime I see you.
4. Binuhatan- an action that is performed intentionally or consciously.
- Example: Dumduma ang Binuhatan ni Jehova.
- Translation: Remember the Works of Jehovah.
5. Balagon- a climbing or trailing woody-stemmed plant of the grape family.
- Example: Ang malaba lamang nga balagon nga ginahigot sa ila buol amo ang nagaluwas sa ila.
- Translation: Only long vines tied to their ankles save them from certain death.
6. Balangaw- an arch of colors formed in the sky in certain circumstances, caused by the refraction and dispersion of the sun’s light by rain or other water droplets in the atmosphere.
- Example: Pagkatapos sini, sa pagsilak sang adlaw sa panganod, isa ka matahom nga balangaw ang nagagua sa langit.
- Translation: A beautiful rainbow follows as the sun appears through the clouds.

7. Alat- a container used to hold or carry things, typically made from interwoven strips of cane or wire.
- Example: Ang iya mga kamot wala na magbitbit sing alat.
- Translation: His hands were freed from the basket.

8. Pagbuyok- the action or fact of persuading someone or of being persuaded to do or believe something.
- Example: Gintinguhaan niya nga ganyaton ang iya mga tagpalamati ‘paagi sa pagbuyok.
- Translation: He tried to appeal to his listeners “by using persuasion.
9. Amlig- the action of protecting someone or something, or the state of being protected.
- Example: Makasalig sia sa pag-amlig sang iya Amay.
- Translation: He can confidently count on his Father’s protection.
10. Banglid- a surface of which one end or side is at a higher level than another; a rising or falling surface.
- Example: Apang, kon kaisa ang mga nagataklad sa bukid nabudlayan sa malawig, taklaron nga mga banglid.
- Translation: Sometimes, though, hikers in mountainous terrain have to contend with long, steep slopes.
